Terms of Service
Effective date: June 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Overdrive Workspace service operated by Overdrive Tools ("Overdrive", "we", "our", or "us"). By connecting a Google Workspace™ organization to Overdrive, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Overdrive Workspace is a read-only Google Workspace™ Drive™ exposure audit tool for Workspace administrators. The service reads Google Workspace audit logs and directory data — with your explicit authorization — to surface Drive sharing exposure within your organization.
The service derives findings from Google's audit event log, which has a finite retention window (typically 6 months for most Workspace editions). Overdrive surfaces detected exposure within that window and reflects data available at the time of each scan. It does not:
- Guarantee that all sharing exposure in your organization has been detected.
- Provide a complete or current inventory of every file or permission in your Drive estate.
- Capture sharing events that pre-date Google's audit log retention window.
- Reflect changes made after the most recent scan completes.
2. Read-Only Nature of Service
The current Overdrive Workspace service is strictly read-only. The service does not write, modify, delete, move, or remediate any files, permissions, or configurations in your Google Workspace™ organization. No Google API scopes that permit write operations are requested or used in the current audit service.
A future optional remediation feature (when available) will request separate, clearly disclosed write scopes, require explicit administrator confirmation before any action, and maintain a full audit log of every action taken. Remediation, if made available, will be opt-in and governed by additional terms.
3. Not a Security Guarantee
Overdrive is an audit visibility tool, not a security guarantee. A clean or low-risk Overdrive report does not mean your organization has no Drive exposure risks. It means Overdrive did not detect such risks in the data available to it at the time of the scan.
Overdrive does not constitute professional security advice, a security assessment, a penetration test, or a compliance certification. For authoritative security or compliance assessments, engage a qualified security professional.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Overdrive to access Google Workspace data for any organization you are not authorized to administer.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from Overdrive beyond normal use of the service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Share access credentials or sessions with unauthorized parties.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws, including data protection laws.
- Misrepresent your identity or authority when connecting a Workspace organization.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.
6. Subscription and Billing
Overdrive Workspace is offered on subscription plans. The features and limits of each plan are described on the pricing page and may be updated from time to time with notice.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (LemonSqueezy, LLC), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By subscribing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. As Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes.
Subscriptions and renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until then.
Refunds
All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@overdrive.tools within 14 days of the charge.
Free tier
A free tier, if offered, is provided as-is with no uptime or feature guarantee and may be modified or discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.
Price changes
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Google Workspace Marketplace™ Compliance
Overdrive Workspace is listed on or will be submitted to the Google Workspace Marketplace™. In connection with that listing, Overdrive affirms that:
- The service complies with the Google Workspace Marketplace Developer Agreement and program policies.
- The service adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
- User data obtained via Google APIs is used solely to provide and improve Overdrive Workspace and is not shared with third parties for advertising or other unrelated purposes.
8. Intellectual Property
Overdrive Workspace and all intellectual property therein are owned by Overdrive Tools. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.
You grant Overdrive a limited license to access your Google Workspace data as authorized through the OAuth flow solely to provide the service. You retain all rights to your organization's data.

9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. OVERDRIVE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL EXPOSURE RISKS WILL BE DETECTED. FINDINGS ARE BASED ON AVAILABLE AUDIT LOG DATA AND DO NOT CONSTITUTE A SECURITY CERTIFICATION OR GUARANTEE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OVERDRIVE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OVERDRIVE'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE FEES PAID BY YOU TO OVERDRIVE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Overdrive Tools and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination and Data Deletion
Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. You may disconnect your Workspace at any time from the Overdrive settings page.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law, or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where feasible.
Upon termination — for any reason:
- Your OAuth refresh token is immediately revoked and deleted.
- All derived findings, aggregates, and workspace records are deleted within 30 days.
- Anonymized aggregate statistics that cannot be tied back to your organization may be retained for product improvement.
Sections 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email to the connected workspace administrator or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must disconnect your workspace before the effective date.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Tel Aviv, Israel, and each party irrevocably submits to that jurisdiction.
15. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Overdrive with respect to the service.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
No waiver. Failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
